Salvaged Sisters
It started by a Christmas of making gifts from thrifted recycled jackets that were created with personal messages for each recipient by one sister (Mary). The jackets were a “hit” with everyone, and Mary was encouraged by family and friends to continue making the jackets. Then the other sister (Ann) who has a degree in design and sewing saw the jackets which started the conversation of being able to follow a dream. So, after what seemed like a lifetime of working for large Corporations, both Mary and Ann retired to follow their lifelong passion of designing and creating wearables. Both of us have a love for thrifting and using recycled treasures. Whether thrifting for jackets, shirts and embellishment’s or creating each piece we love every minute of the jacketing process! Our name Salvaged Sisters speaks to exactly what we do, using Salvaged clothing and embellishments, and we are actual Sisters.
